    Who is Park City Motorcycles?

    We come from a family of motorcycle enthusiasts and have over 25 years of experience touring the Wild Wild West. Our recommended rides offer some of the best roads and alpine scenery in the lower 48. We don’t just rent motorcycles; Park City Motorcycles offers you the total motorcycle mountain touring adventure.

    What does Park City Motorcycles offer?

    Park City Motorcycles offers Harley-Davidson motorcycle rentals and self-touring. Rentals (self-touring) can be booked online in the Motorcycle Reservations section. Our riding season is from May 1-October 31. If you’re interested in a guided tour, please contact us at (801) 554-5103.

     

    What brand and make of motorcycles does Park City Motorcycles rent?

    We rent the perfect motorcycles for touring the scenic mountains of Utah. All our motorcycles are late model Harley-Davidson Street Glides and Road Glides that have locking saddlebags for storage and sound systems with auxiliary port for media players.

    The Harley-Davidson Road Glide is infused with enhanced style, outstanding aerodynamics and optimized touring ergonomics for the rider and passenger. Propelled by the unrelenting performance of the High Output Twin Cam 103, these motorcycles will exceed the expectations of the most demanding touring motorcyclist. The Road Glide features Sharknose fairing, cruise control and electronic throttle control. Locking saddlebags, windshield, audio system with auxiliary port for media players and passenger footpegs allow for a comfortable ride. (Passenger back rests/sissy bar available upon request.)

    The Harley-Davidson Street Glide is infused with enhanced style, outstanding aerodynamics and optimized touring ergonomics for the rider and passenger.     How does renting from Park City Motorcycles work?

    Easy! The renter books their rental date(s) and makes their payment online in our Motorcycle Reservations section. Then, Park City Motorcycle will drop-off and pick up the motorcycle at your hotel or requested location. It’s as simple as that! Please note:

    • Deliver/pick up area is inside 1-80 and US-40/UT-189
    • You must be present at delivery and pick up with your motorcycle class drivers license.
    • Please be on time for your delivery and pick up. The redelivery charge is $100. Late return charges are $100 per hour.

     

    What are the requirements for a motorcycle rental?

    You must:

    • Have a valid motorcycle class drivers license.
    • Be at least 21 years old.
    • Have the skills to handle a heavy weight motorcycle. The motorcycles we rent are large, heavyweight, very powerful and not appropriate for beginners or inexperienced riders.
    • Have a major credit card (American Express, Visa, Mastercard or Discover). We do not accept debit cards.

     

    What is included in a motorcycle rental?

    Everything except the taxes! No hidden up-charges for insurance or gas. We deliver and pick up a Harley-Davidson Street Glide or Road Glide. Single day rentals are for eight hours of use. Multi-day rentals are kept overnight to be picked up at the end of the final rental day.

    We offer 8 am to 4pm, 9 am to 5 pm, 10 am to 6 pm and 11 am to 7 pm time slots based on availability. Late returns fees are $100 per hour.

     

    Also included in the rental rate:
    • Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), which raises the liability coverage from the state minimum limits up to $300,000 bodily injury liability and up to $10,000 property damage liability ($21.95 per day value). Renter deductible is $2,000 for damage to the motorcycle and $2,000 per occurrence of theft. The deductible on the policy is $2,500.
    • One full tank of gas ($20 value).
    • Unlimited mileage.
    • DOT helmets are provided and required for rider and passengers. Clients are encouraged to bring their own helmets for comfort and style.
    • Passenger sissy bar/backrest upon request.
    • Self-touring maps and insider tips on any of our five recommended rides:

    Please note: Taxes are NOT included in the rental rate.

     

    What is the cost of a rental?

    All reservations (for the entire season) made prior to June 15, 2017 are $299 plus tax for a daily eight hour rental. For reservations booked after June 15, 2017, the cost of a daily eight hour rental is $329 plus tax. Multi-day renters keep the motorcycle overnight to be picked up at the end of the final rental day based on the daily rates. Park City Motorcycles includes insurance within the motorcycle rental rate ($21.95 per day value). The insurance includes Theft and Damage Insurance and Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI). Free mileage and one tank of gas ($20 value) are included for your convenience. There are no other hidden costs like many of our competitors add: no insurance charges, no added fuel charges, no added in-season up-charges, no environmental surcharges. A $100 per hour fee will be charged for late returns. Visit our Motorcycle Reservations section to secure your rental date and make a payment.

     

    What about multi-day rentals? Can I keep the motorcycle overnight?

    Yes, but only for a multi-day rental. Multi-day rentals are charged on the daily rate and will be picked up at the end of the final rental day. Late return fees are $100 per hour.

     

    What delivery/pick up time options are available?

    We offer 8 am to 4pm, 9 am to 5 pm, 10 am to 6 pm and 11 am to 7 pm time slots based on availability. $100 per hour will be charged for late returns. The renter must be present at delivery and pick up.

     

    Can I add a passenger to my rental?

    Yes, one passenger is permitted at no additional cost, but please note that they must be at least 18 years old and must sign the Passenger Risk Acknowledgement at the time of booking. It is important to select “passenger” when making your reservation online.

     

    Does Park City Motorcycles offer customer orientation for my rented motorcycle?

    Yes, after we complete the delivery check-in, you will be provided with a comprehensive orientation of the rental motorcycle. The orientation will include:

    1. A damage and safety inspection.
    2. Detailed instructions on the operation of the motorcycle’s features.
    3. Detailed information on your chosen route.
    4. The opportunity for you to ask as many questions as you need to feel 100 percent confident with your motorcycle before enjoying your ride.

     

    What if I don’t have proper riding gear with me?

    Luckily, we have an official Park City Harley-Davidson store located at 324 Main Street in Historic Park City that is open seven days a week. They have a great selection of men’s and women’s riding accessories and apparel.

    What is a “recommended ride”?

    Five of the most scenic alpine rides in the west are right here in northern Utah. Enjoy the freedom of the open road as you ride through the thick Uinta-Wasatch-Cache Nation Forest’s glacially carved valleys and experience the breathtaking views of alpine rivers, lakes, canyons and towering mountain peaks. Choose one of our recommended rides that include maps, riding directions, road conditions, total miles, estimated ride time, fuel stops, photo opportunities, must-sees and recommended restaurants.     Do I have to do a recommended ride?

    No, the recommended rides are suggestions from our experienced staff to help you get the very most of your ride and your day.

     

    What protective equipment and clothing should I bring?

    Always be prepared. Spring, summer and fall riding can be cool at high elevations. Protective eyewear, leather jackets, chaps, gloves and boots should never be far away if needed.

    What insurance does Park City Motorcycles offer?

    We have the best insurance available to protect our riders and passengers as well as Park City Motorcycle. Park City Motorcycle includes insurance within the motorcycle rental rate ($21.95 per day value). The insurance includes Theft and Damage Insurance, plus Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI). Liability insurance protects the renter against claims made by a third party for bodily injury and/or property damage sustained as a result of an accident. The renter pays up to $2,000 for damage to the motorcycle and $2,000 per occurrence of theft. The deductible on the policy is $2,500.

     

    Can I use my own insurance coverage and get a discount?

    No, Park City Motorcycles requires every renter to utilize the coverage included: Theft and Damage Insurance, plus Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI). This is required to protect you as well as Park City Motorcycles against any lapses in coverage.

    What is the payment and cancellation policy?

    Motorcycle rental reservations are paid in-full at the time of booking. The reservation must be paid in-full to guarantee the rate and rental date. Reservations are non-refundable.

     

    How does the security deposit work?

    A security deposit of $2,000 will be taken at drop-off (authorization only). The security deposit must be processed via valid credit card. Sorry, we do not accept debit cards. Once your motorcycle is returned on time and free of damage, the security deposit will be released.

    What is your fuel policy?

    For your convenience, one tank of gas has been included in your rental ($20 value). You will only need to purchase gas if you use more then the one tank provided. We want you out on the open road enjoying your ride!

     

    What is your roadside assistance protocol for a breakdown (mechanical breakdown, flat tire or out of gas)?

    If you experience a mechanical breakdown or a flat tire, we ask that you call us at Park City Motorcycles at the number provided. We will work with you to resolve the issue and get you back on the road. If we determine the motorcycle needs to be picked up for repair, we will ask you to call the Roadside Assistance number provided so you and the bike can be picked up. Towing is NOT covered in the Theft, Damage and Liability Insurance. Renter is responsible for any towing charges.

    Emergency fuel delivery (two gallons) and jump start services up to 30 miles are $100 and then $1 per mile calculated on round trip.
